The Guardian Online has now accepted me as a paid freelancer based on my LowCarbonKid and other environmental journalism. Here's the first post. This pre-dates the web site spoof.

Your hoax was funny, but wasn't as ridiculous as Al Gore's movie.

Nor as ridiculous as someone who hides their own identity while feeling quite comfortable in trading insults with others who are perfectly open about theirs.

Hey Dave, are you going to warn us from now on if you are telling us the truth when you write or should we just assume you're playing another prank, only now you'll be getting paid to do it?

I'll leave that for you to decide!

The Guardian seems to be the right place for you, Dave. It's full of people who have problems with reality and who provide such rich entertainment for others. Still, if it's the sort of ghetto you aspire to...

I'm glad to hear your have no problems, Fred, unlike everyone else, and that you find the Guardian entertaining. Personally I think it is full of whining, wheedling self-important people, but since they are willing to pay me that's fine. I don't mind who I write for frankly.

You have a witty name for a blogger, but it would be better with only one 'g'.
